Teams in our Power Rankings went 20-4-1 last week – with only one loss to a team outside the list – which means either our rankings were pretty accurate, or everybody played cupcakes. Let's call it a little bit of both.

Take a look at how the Inside College Hockey editors and staff think the contenders stack up – and let us know what you think. Send us your own Power Rankings, with comments, and we just might publish them.

1. Boston College Eagles tie Notre Dame, failing to live up to the football team's standard. Don't expect to hear that again this year.
2. Denver 1 Pioneers outshoot Wisconsin 70-39 on weekend, but have to battle to sweep Badgers.
3. North Dakota 1 Who warned the Sioux that New Haven was a violent place? Zach Parise (0-7—7 on weekend) leads team in southern ECAC swing.
4. New Hampshire 2 Wildcats suffer first loss Saturday vs. BU after Friday's come-from-behind win over Merrimack.
5. Minnesota Three players net three goals in Friday's win. We haven't heard that much about hats in Gopher-land since Doug Woog left.
6. Michigan Wolverines were bullies over the weekend, picking on cross-town high school kids (from the NTDP).
7. Cornell Opens season with road win over Ohio State, playing its sixth game. The Big Red's for real.
8. Providence Friars join Fighting Sioux as the lone unbeaten, untied teams who have played more than one game.
9. Boston University 1 Two one-goal wins have up-and-down Terriers riding high again.
10. Maine 1 Bears have posted three shutouts in four games, but face their first league test Saturday vs. Massachusetts.
11. Colorado College Tigers earn sweep against Michigan Tech, outscoring Huskies 14-1.
12. Ferris State Dominant sweep at Alaska Fairbanks. Not that you would have heard about it.
13. Miami 1 High-flying 'Hawks in fight with Ferris, Notre Dame to be this year's surprise in the CCHA.
14. Michigan State 2 Wasn't the football team ranked this high early in the season? Don't worry – hockey won't suffer a similar collapse.
15. Notre Dame NR Irish prove they belong in the rankings with tie vs. BC.
16. St. Cloud State NR  Win at Ferris State looks pretty good right about now.
