How much can you tell from seven games? Not a lot – although we know we may have given Miami a bit too much credit. Still, it's early, so there's not much movement in this week's INCH Power Rankings – expanded to 20 teams this year, and including previous results and upcoming games.

Here's how the Inside College Hockey editors and staff ranks the nation's top teams. You can let us know what you think and we'll share your thoughts below.

1. Minnesota No sense opening with an easy one, as the Gophers battle Maine this weekend.

2. Boston College Anybody who thinks that'll be the last hat trick for Tony Voce this year, raise your hand. Didn't think so.

3. Michigan Mercyhurst coach Rick Gotkin didn't take his team to see Michigan's exhibition game Friday night, because he didn't want them to see how good the Wolverines were.

4. New Hampshire Ed Caron's return to the ice produced two goals vs. the U.S. Under-18 Team.

5. North Dakota The Parise family shows it can stop the puck as well, with freshman Jordan earning a win in his collegiate debut.

6. Harvard Bright may be quiet, but the football team pulled off a big upset of Northeastern.

7. Boston University Sean Fields faced just eight shots through two periods vs. Toronto. To no surprise, he had 0 GA.
LAST WEEK: W vs. Toronto (Ex.), 6-1. THIS WEEK: vs. Rensselaer
8. Massachusetts An exhibition loss isn't enough to make you drop in the rankings, although it sure makes you wonder.
LAST WEEK: L vs. St. Francis Xavier (Ex.), 7-2. THIS WEEK: vs. Connecticut, at UMass Lowell
9. Cornell Think Lynah tickets are tough? How 'bout the guy in the Cornell sweater a few rows ahead of Theo Epstein at Fenway on Sunday?

10. Ferris State What better way to start the CCHA season than a home-and-home with your nearby rival this weekend?
LAST WEEK: W vs. Windsor (Ex.), 6-0. THIS WEEK: at Western Michigan, vs. Western Michigan
11. Denver 2 The Pioneers know not to get too excited about an early-season tournament win (see Maverick Stampede, 2002).
LAST WEEK: W vs. Ohio State, 5-2; W vs. St. Lawrence, 3-0. THIS WEEK: vs. U.S. Under-18 Team (Ex.), vs. British Columbia (Ex.)
12. Colorado College Fantasy hockey sleeper pick tips for today: Jason Spezza and Peter Sejna.

13. Minnesota Duluth 2 It doesn't get any easier for the Bulldogs, who will need to muster more offense at the Ice Breaker this weekend. They had only 22 shots against the Sioux.

14. Maine It's a rematch of the 2002 title game, but with lots of new faces this weekend in Omaha.

15. Michigan State 1 Freshman Tommy Goebel could be the real deal. He scored a natural hat trick in a 6-0 win over Windsor.

16. Dartmouth 1 The Big Green can use their extra time before the season begins to campaign for their favorite candidates in the N.H. primary.

17. Ohio State 1 Could Dave Steckel (three goals in the Lefty) be reaching the level folks expected when he was a first-round NHL pick?

18. Wisconsin 2 College hockey gets its first glimpse of the heralded Badger rookies this weekend at UNO's new rink.

19. Mercyhurst Take away Michigan's 3-for-6 power play, and the Lakers actually played the Wolverines even.

20. Minnesota State 1 Can the Mavs keep their high-powered offense running? Probably, at least against St. Clair College.
