INCH All-Americans
Inside
College Hockey is proud to announce its fourth annual INCH
All-America teams. The selections were made by Inside College
Hockey editors and staff, with input from media and coaches
from around the country.
The INCH All-America teams are not affiliated
with those of the American Hockey Coaches Association, which
will release its East and West All-Americans next week.
We prefer to see college hockey as a national
game – thus our first-, second- and third-team All-Americans,
plus our All-Rookie Team, are not divided on regional lines.

2005-06 ALL-AMERICA FIRST TEAM |
Brian Elliott
Wisconsin
Junior
Goaltender |
Statistics: 25-5-3, 1.55 GAA, .938
sv. pct., 8 SO
When he's been healthy, the Badgers have been the
best team in the nation. Without him, they slumped. |
Matt Carle
Denver
Junior
Defenseman |
Statistics:
39 GP, 11-42—53, 58 PIM
The San Jose Sharks, who already boast CC alum Tom
Preissing, may have found an even better blueliner
from a Colorado school in Carle. |
Andy Greene
Miami
Senior
Defenseman |
Statistics:
39 GP, 9-22—31, 48 PIM
The first three-time first-team All-CCHA defenseman
in 20 years, Greene does it all at both ends of the
rink. |
Chris Collins
Boston College
Senior
Forward |
Statistics:
40 GP, 31-29—60, 26 PIM
The only player in Hockey East who could even approach
Collins' impressive offensive numbers was Brian Boyle,
who as Collins' linemate was a big beneficiary of
his finishing touch. |
Scott Parse
Nebraska-Omaha
Junior
Forward |
Statistics:
41 GP, 20-41—61, 40 PIM
The nation's leading scorer for much of the season,
Parse was the catalyst for a Maverick team that made
its first NCAA Tournament appearance. |
Ryan Potulny
Minnesota
Junior
Forward |
Statistics:
41 GP, 38-25—63, 31 PIM
College hockey's premier sniper, Potulny was the
biggest reason why Minnesota had the nation's second-best
offense and fourth-best power play. |
