The 2012 International Ice Hockey Federation
World Junior Championship runs from Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Calgary
and Edmonton, Alberta. The Russians are the defending champions,
beating Canada in the title game. The U.S. team won the
bronze, the first time the Americans medaled in back-to-back
WJCs.

the United States topped Switzerland to close out the

TEAM USA ROSTER
Seven returnees from the team that won the
bronze medal at last year's World Junior Championship in
Buffalo highlight the 22-man U.S. roster for the 2012 WJC.
The group includes seven representatives of WCHA schools,
four players from the CCHA and Hockey East, and one from
ECAC Hockey.

CANADA SCHEDULE
Canada, which lost to the Russians in the
2011 World Junior Championships in Buffalo, has just one
collegian on its roster, but it's an important one. Colorado
College forward Jaden Schwartz is also the captain for the
Canadians.
