Collegians highlight U.S. Junior Evaluation Camp
At least 29 current college hockey players are among the 43 players who will take part in USA Hockey's
2005 National Junior Team Evaluation Camp, to be held Aug. 5-14
in Lake Placid, N.Y.
The 29 college players represent 13 schools, with Michigan, Minnesota and North Dakota sending four players each. Boston College, Michigan State and Ohio State will each have three representatives at the camp.
Participating
players in the camp are candidates for the 2006 U.S. National Junior
Team, which will compete in the 2006 International Ice Hockey Federation
World Junior Championship. The tournament will take place Dec. 26,
2005-Jan. 6, 2006 in Vancouver, B.C.
Northern Michigan head coach Walt Kyle will be the team's head coach, with assistance from John Hynes of the USA Hockey NTDP.
