Austrian trio leads collegians in World Championship

Two current collegians – Wisconsin's Bernd Brückler and Minnesota's Thomas Vanek – are joined by recent graduate Thomas Pöck of Massachusetts on Austria's entry in the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship, highlighting an extensive list of players with college ties in the tournament. Minnesota's Keith Ballard was added to the U.S. roster on Monday, the only other current player participating.

The World Championship, which begins on Saturday in the Czech Republic, will help determine the eight participants in the 2006 Winter Olympic Games. Below is a complete list of current and former college players participating in the tournament (additional names may be added Friday).
