Overlock led ECACHL defensemen in overall scoring with nine goals and 17 assists.

Key Statistics: Seven of Overlock’s nine goals last year came on the power play. He finished with 26 points, which was best among all ECAC Hockey League defenseman in overall scoring.

What He Does: Overlock is among the best offensive defenseman in the ECACHL and is particularly effective on the power play. His excellent point shot produced scoring chances in cases when the PP unit was struggling to set up.

The Bigger Picture: Two star players are gone from the Dartmouth roster – Lee Stempniak (graduation) and Hugh Jessiman (pro contract) – putting increased pressure on Dartmouth’s other talented performers to have big seasons. Overlock is definitely in that group of guys that the Big Green coaching staff is counting on.

Dartmouth associate head coach Dave Peters on their expectations for Overlock: “You always hope there are some kids from within your program that will develop and mature as players and we’re hoping he’s one of those kids that will take another step."
