KYLE RANK
St. Lawrence
Sr. | F | Elmira, Ontario

Rank was an ECACHL All-Rookie Team member for the 2003-04 season.

Key Statistics: Rank is the leading returning scorer for St. Lawrence. He finished tied for second on the team last year with 28 points, and is the only one of the top five scorers that was not a senior.

What He Does: Rank was a third-line center for most of last season. He was responsible defensively and able to chip in at the offensive end of the rink. Rank will log lots of ice time, as he sees time on the power play and penalty-killing units for St. Lawrence. He is also capable of putting up big numbers, evidenced by his 1-3–4 scoring line in a 5-1 victory at Harvard last March.

The Bigger Picture: Rank's season will be measured in two ways. He'll need to maintain or increase his point production while also taking on all of the captain's duties. Of the 14 forwards that played in at least 24 games last year, only seven return for this season. His veteran presence will be needed up front as young forwards continue to adjust to college hockey.

St. Lawrence head coach Joe Marsh on Rank: “Kyle brings a variety of talents to the table, not the least of which is his leadership skills. He has an outstanding work ethic and I feel he is going to be an excellent captain as well as an impact player for us as a senior."
