When Day scores, it's good news for Colgate. The
Raiders were 11-2-1 in games when he had at least
one point last season. |

Key Statistics: Day ranked
fifth overall in scoring for Colgate and was third among
returning players with nine goals and 13 assists for
22 points. He played in 41 of the Raiders' 42 games
as a freshman.
What He Does: Day is
a talented offensive player with good size who can contribute
to Colgate's scoring. He scores in bunches, as evidenced
by his seven multi-point games, including two goals
in his second ever collegiate game, a 6-5 win over RIT,
and three assists in game two of an eventual playoff
series triumph over top-seeded Clarkson in ECAC Hockey.
The Bigger Picture: Colgate
loses its top two scorers, Tyler Burton and Jesse Winchester,
after very productive four-year college careers. It's
up to the likes of Day, along with junior David McIntyre
and seniors Tom Riley and Peter Bogdanich to pick up
the slack and improve production for the upcoming season.
Day had 13 points through Colgate's first 16 games last
year, but just nine points over the last 26 games of
the season. Increased consistency from Day will be a
goal for this season.
