His
Impact: Seems like good goaltending and the
University of Maine go hand in hand, doesn't it? Newcomer
Bishop appears to be the latest in the long line of
standouts from Dunham and Snow to Morrison and Howard.
The 6-foot-7 backstop has been particularly sharp during
the Black Bears' recent 7-1-1 stretch – he's been
in net for all but one of those wins and has allowed
one goal in each of his last five starts, including
both ends of a sweep of Hockey East-leading Boston College
at Alfond Arena last weekend.
His
Runners-Up: Cole Koidahl (Connecticut), Jordan
Parise (North Dakota), Justin Pesony (St. Lawrence),
Brian Reese (Air Force), Josh Sciba (Notre Dame)
