DREW MILLER
Michigan State

His Statistics: 3 GP, 4-3–7

His Impact: With his team on the brink of elimination after losing the first game of its CCHA quarterfinal series against Alaska Fairbanks at Munn Ice Arena, Miller led the Spartans’ offensive explosion the next two nights. He factored into four of MSU’s six goals Saturday as the Spartans raced to an easy 6-1 win over the Nanooks, then notched a hat trick – including a shorthanded goal early in the first period and the eventual game winner – in Sunday’s series finale, a 7-4 MSU win. Miller now leads or shares the team lead in goals (17), assists (24), points (41), power-play goals (eight) and game-winning goals (four).

His Runners-Up: Brad Smith (Connecticut), Layne Sedevie (Bemidji State), Mike Ouellette (Dartmouth), Greg Moore (Maine), Ben Gordon (Minnesota)
