His
Impact: It's fitting that Schneider hails from
Marblehead, because he was a stone wall for the Eagles
last weekend in Madison. Sure, Wisconsin has struggled
to score lately and the Badgers are beset by injuries,
but Schneider – who made 28 saves in both BC victories
– never gave the hosts a chance to gather any
momentum. He was especially clutch in the second periods
of both games. On Friday, he held Wisconsin scoreless
in a period in which the Eagles were outshot 14-5. Saturday,
the Badgers launched 15 shots at Schneider in the second,
who stopped all but one. Meanwhile, 2006 Hobey Baker
Award finalist Brian Elliott gave up four goals on nine
shots during that same period.
