RYAN
DUNCAN
North Dakota
His
Statistics: 2 GP, 4-3—7, plus-minus rating
of +5 in his team's sweep of Minnesota at Mariucci Arena.
His
Impact: Forget about measuring Duncan's impact
this past weekend. Instead, consider his impact for
the Fighting Sioux this season. With Jonathan Toews
missing significant time due to injury and the World
Junior Championship, and T.J. Oshie's struggles to duplicate
his success from a year ago (which appear to be over),
there's little question that Duncan has been North Dakota's
most valuable player to date. Given his play over the
last 10 games – Duncan has 10-7—17 during
the Sioux's recent 8-1-1 run – and his current
status as the WCHA's leader in goals and co-leader in
points, he's building a strong case for league MVP honors.
