His Impact: Last year, Jones teamed with classmate Nathan Davis to comprise a formidable one-two punch for the RedHawks — the duo combined for 50 goals and 98 points and led Miami to the NCAA Northeast Regional finals. Though Davis has been hurt for most of this season, his absence hasn't slowed Jones as evidenced by his effort last weekend in Marquette as the top-ranked RedHawks swept Northern Michigan. Friday, he scored a career-high four goals and added an assist in his team's 9-2 rout of the host Wildcats, then contributed an assist in Saturday's series finale. Jones's four-goal outburst gave him eight for the season. He shares the national lead in that category with Michigan forward Kevin Porter.
