KYLE
RICHTER
Harvard
His Statistics: 2 GP, 2 wins, 2 shutouts,
57 saves
His Impact: As a freshman, he showed
flashes of brilliance — most notably a 4-0 shutout
of Boston College — while splitting time with
senior Justin Tobe. As the Crimson's full-time starter
this season, Kyle Richter's brilliance hasn't been limited
to just flashes, but has been on display from the opening
moments of the first game. The Calgary native has been
the driving force behind Harvard's 3-1-0 record, the
team's best start since in five years. Richter has allowed
a total of three goals in his first four starts, including
consecutive shutouts of Rensselaer and Union in Cambridge
last weekend. He enters this weekend's games against
Cornell and Colgate with a 0.75 goals against average
and a .975 save percentage.
His Runners-Up: Ryan Cruthers (Robert
Morris), Ryan Lasch (St. Cloud State), Owen Meyer (Army),
Matt Taormina (Providence), Derek Whitmore (Bowling
Green)
