Junior | Forward
Oxford, Mich.
NATHAN
GERBE
Boston College
His Statistics: 2 GP, 4-3—7,
+7
His Impact: Perhaps all Boston College
needed was a series with archrival Boston University
in order to break out of its month-long funk. A visit
from the Terriers certainly did the trick for Gerbe,
the Eagles' Pocket Hercules who lit up BU for four goals
and three assists in leading BC to a weekend sweep.
It's not like the 5-foot-5 junior forward has been scuffling
along this season — he's got at least one point
in seven of the Eagles' last nine games and has eight
goals and six assists during that span. But of all the
players on the Boston College roster, Gerbe is the one
who can get white hot and lead the Eagles out of an
uneven first half marred by inconsistency, injuries,
and suspensions.
His Runners-Up: Matt Climie (Bemidji
State), Blake Geoffrion (Wisconsin), Mitch O'Keefe (Ferris
State), Brent Olson (Air Force), Ben Scrivens (Cornell).
