MIKE
RADJA
New Hampshire
His Statistics: 2 GP, 4-2—6,
1 GWG, 1 SHG
His Impact: The list of New Hampshire
players who've grown from solid contributors as freshmen
and sophomores to offensive stars as juniors and seniors
is impressive. During coach Dick Umile's reign in Durham,
seeing Wildcat forwards make that progression has become
the norm.
Mike Radja certainly exemplifies that career track.
After solid showings in his freshman and sophomore seasons,
he exploded for 19 goals and 37 points last season.
At his current rate, he's likely to eclipse those standards
this year.
Radja has 9-10—19 in his last nine games, a stretch
that includes last weekend's series at Maine. He was
UNH's offense in Friday's 3-2 win at Alfond Arena, finishing
off a hat trick with a shorthanded goal seven minutes
into the third period. In the Wildcats' 4-1 victory
Saturday, he added a goal and two assists.
His Runners-Up: Ryan Cruthers (Robert
Morris), Bud Fisher (Quinnipiac), Peter Mannino (Denver),
Alexandre Parent (Sacred Heart), Brian Stewart (Northern
Michigan)
