DAVID
McINTYRE
Colgate
His Statistics: 3 GP, 4-1–5,
2 GWG, PPG, +2 rating.
His Impact: Colgate's sophomore forward
was the most dangerous offensive threat on the ice as
the Raiders rallied to win the last two games of an
ECAC Hockey quarterfinal series at top-seeded and regular-season
champions Clarkson over the weekend.
After losing the first game of the series 1-0, Colgate
got a pair of one-goal wins over the host Golden Knights
and McIntyre figured on five of the seven goals that
Colgate scored in the last two games.
He scored twice and added an assist in Saturday's Game
2, including banging in a loose puck at the edge of
the crease that proved to be the game-winner. On Sunday,
his second-period power-play goal gave Colgate at 2-1
lead. Clarkson tied the game in the third period, and
McIntyre was the hero in the second overtime for the
Raiders as he picked up a drop pass near the blue line
on a line rush, skated down the slot and beat the goalie
for the game-winner.
His Runners-Up: Alex Kangas (Minnesota),
Ted Cook (Niagara), Jerry Pollastrone (New Hampshire),
Brent Olson (Air Force), Brian Stewart (Northern Michigan)
