His Statistics: 1 GP, 4-2—6, PPG, GWG, +4

His Impact: Sure, when you skate on a line someone as dangerous with the puck as James van Riemsdyk, you’re gonna get a few opportunities to score — there’s a reason NHL journeyman Warren Young potted 40 goals after landing on Mario Lemieux’s wing in 1984-85. That said, you’ve got to bury your chances when you get ‘em.

That’s exactly what Sislo did in Durham last Thursday, scoring four goals and adding two assists in the Wildcats’ 9-4 rout of Holy Cross. Primarily a checking winger during his freshman campaign — Sislo played in all 38 of UNH’s games last season, scoring three goals and eight points — he hits the halfway mark of the 2008-09 season ranked second in Hockey East and fifth in the nation with 11 goals.

His Runners-Up: Cody Campbell, Alabama-Huntsville; Scott Darling, Maine; Corey Elkins, Ohio State; Andrew Favot, RIT; Jared Keller, St. Lawrence; Alex Stalock, Minnesota Duluth
