STICK SALUTE

The Friars deserve one of these more than any team in the league after picking up their first Hockey East win of the season over UMass Lowell and following that up with a shocker against Boston University at Agganis Arena.

BENCH MINOR

Boston College’s offense has gone stale of late, averaging 1.75 goals per game in a four-game stretch during which the Eagles are 0-2-2. The Eagles have also been out-shot on each of those contests.

GREAT WEEKEND GETAWAY

Boston College at Boston University, Saturday

Two teams that probably don’t like each other play their final regularly scheduled game of the season Saturday at BU. The Terriers took the home-and-home during the first weekend of December with a 1-1 tie at Agganis Arena and a 3-1 victory at Conte Forum. Of course, they could still meet in the Beanpot final or (gasp!) consolation game. And there’s always those two postseason tournaments, too.

While You’re There: There’s also a two-game series on Huntington Avenue this weekend featuring Northeastern and Vermont. Head by Friday night’s affair to see the puck drop at 7 p.m.
