His Impact: Beaudry joined the Providence roster in midseason, and began his freshman career earlier this month. Tim Army wasted little time in getting him into the lineup and Providence is 3-0-1 in his four starts, including two wins and a tie on the road this week. Beaudry stopped 39 of 41 shots in the Friars’ midweek win at Boston University, then made 42 saves in a 5-4 win at Massachusetts. He capped the week with 40 saves in a 2-2 tie at Maine.
Providence has doubled its win total, from three to six, in the four games since Beaudry has taken over as the team’s starting goalie. The Friars are just four points behind three teams tied for sixth in Hockey East.
