The NHL’s Central Scouting Service has released its final ranking of the top players eligible for the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The rankings list North American and European players separately, as well as separating goalies from skaters (forwards and defensemen).

The top-ranked player with college ties is Minnesota forward Jordan Schroeder at No. 5. Others listed among the top 20 include Colorado College recruit John Moore, who plays for Chicago in the United States Hockey League (sixth); Harvard recruit Louis Leblanc, who plays for Omaha in the USHL (13th); Boston College recruit Chris Kreider of Andover (Mass.) Prep (14th); and Notre Dame recruit Kyle Palmieri, who plays for U.S. National Team Development Program (20th).

The North American lists rank 210 skaters and 31 goalies, all playing in the U.S. and Canada. In addition to college players the list features draft-eligible major junior players, as well as a number of college-bound high school, prep and junior players.
