Our top two teams had last weekend off, but Colorado College (which did beat the U.S. Under-18 Team in an exhibition) and Ferris State still hold the lead in their resepctive conferences heading into the final two weeks of the regular season. In the East, No. 3 Cornell has all but locked up the ECAC title with one week to play, while No. 4 New Hampshire and No. 5 Boston College meet this weekend to decide the Hockey East championship. Take a glimpse even further into the future with our INCH 4x4, which projects what you might see in the NCAA Tournament regional pairings.

Here's how the Inside College Hockey editors and staff ranks the nation's top teams. You can let us know what you think and we'll share your thoughts below.

1. Colorado College

Think this weekend's series vs. Mankato is mildly important?

2. Ferris State Memo to INCH readers: What did the 'Dogs ever do to you guys?
3. Cornell 1 Dave LeNeveu now mentioned in the same breath as Ken Dryden. Think about that for a second.
4. New Hampshire 1 Wildcats posted three points last week ...
5. Boston College 2 ... while Eagles got four, setting up next weekend's series to decide the Hockey East title.
6. Maine 3 Split with Massachusetts continues Black Bears' skid.
7. Michigan 1 Wolverines can double their pleasure this weekend; take step toward second straight CCHA regular-season title and push Michigan State back in home-ice race.
8. Minnesota State, Mankato 4 If they're not the best story in college hockey this season, the Mavs (unbeaten in 17) are definitely in the top two.
9. Minnesota Gophers host Denver in a rivalry that's become a bad-blood fued in the WCHA.
10. North Dakota 4 Unfortunately for the Sioux, playoff schedules look nothing like what they faced the first half of the year.
11. Denver 2 Pioneers are 3-0-1 in their last four. Now if they could just get into the top five in the WCHA standings...
12. Providence 2 Great in the beginnng, empty in the middle, great at the end. Friars' season just like a donut. Mmmmm, donut...
13. Boston University 3 Both games with Providence went to OT. Think that'll be a good first-round series?
14. Ohio State 3 Not a good time for Bucks to lose first league games of the season at Value City Arena.
15. Harvard The Crimson are two victories shy of their first 20-win season since 1993-94.
16. Michigan State Comley posts another split against his former team. At least this time, he's got to feel better about his current club.

Feedback

As a Ferris grad, I fondly remember the days as a season ticket holder at Ewigleben and am proud to see the dogs have a good season. As the only D-I sport at the school, Ferris hockey gets the love and support it deserves from the students and now the media. Now if only I wasn't stuck in Texas, I could watch a few games.

I have been reading now for over a week about people contacting you complaining about Ferris being ranked 2nd in your Power Rankings. I would like to thank you for giving that team the credit they deserve. Now I will admit that I have a bias toward the Bulldogs (both my parents graduated from Ferris) however I myself am a student and season ticket holder at the University of Michigan and have not seen a more complete team come into Yost this season. Kunitz for Hobey, Michigan for National Champs!

So, everyone is pissed about Ferris' ranking. Probably mostly those people from that bastion of Soviet communism and anti-Americanism in Ann Arbor. Think about it; even their hockey coach in named "Red".

– Mike Woronko

Hey, I don't know what people are so upset about for Ferris. Geeze guys, they FINALLY got things together. I've been watching them for 7 years, I'm damn proud! I'm no longer a Ferris student, but still my heart is with them! GO DAWGS – YOU RULE!

– Shannon

I am outraged by the Ferris State number 2 ranking. They should be number 1.
