Like the presidential polls being released by Quinnipiac – and, boy, was it ever fun hearing Tim Russert trying to pronounce that – the INCH Power Rankings have a lot of fluctuations, and some pretty close races. As we head into November, there's no shortage of teams that could win the race for college hockey supremacy.

Here's how the Inside College Hockey editors and staff rank the nation's top teams (along with movement since last week and a note).

1. Boston College 1 Jerry York is passing coaching milestones like Barry Bonds with home runs. But more people are happy for him.
3-1-0 (1-0-0 Hockey East). LAST WEEK: W vs. North Dakota, 5-3. THIS WEEK: at Maine.
2. Minnesota Duluth 1 When former UMD athletic director Bob Corran left for Vermont, it may have been a better opportunity, but few of us thought he was joining a better hockey program.
5-1-2 (4-0-0 WCHA). LAST WEEK: L vs. Vermont, 3-2; T vs. Vermont, 2-2 ot. THIS WEEK: at Alaska Anchorage, at Alaska Anchorage.
3. Wisconsin Maybe the presidential race distracted the Badgers from a sweep – John Kerry spoke and Bruce Springsteen performed in front of 80,000 in Madison Thursday.
5-1-0 (3-1-0 WCHA). LAST WEEK: W vs. Denver, 6-3; L vs. Denver, 5-3. THIS WEEK: at Minnesota, at Minnesota.
4. Colorado College 2 Are the Tigers for real? We'll know more this weekend, but right now they're the only non-Ivy without a loss.
4-0-0 (0-0-0 WCHA). LAST WEEK: Off. THIS WEEK: at North Dakota, at North Dakota.
5. Michigan M and M: Wolverines play five straight games against schools that begin with "M", starting with a pair against Miami this week.
5-2-1 (3-1-0 CCHA). LAST WEEK: W vs. Ferris State, 3-0; L at Ferris State, 1-0 ot. THIS WEEK: vs. Miami, vs. Miami.
6. North Dakota 2 The Sioux hit roadblocks on their trip to Boston, and not just the ones in place for the Red Sox parade.
4-2-2 (2-1-1 WCHA). LAST WEEK: L at Boston College, 5-3; T at Northeastern, 3-3 ot. THIS WEEK: vs. Colorado College, vs. Colorado College.
7. Minnesota 1 Among the five Gophers averaging a point per game is freshman defenseman Alex Goligoski. That's right, we said "freshman defenseman."
5-2-0 (3-1-0 WCHA). LAST WEEK: W vs. Minnesota State, 9-2; W vs. Minnesota State, 3-2 ot. THIS WEEK: vs. Wisconsin, vs. Wisconsin.
8. New Hampshire 1 Sean Collins is reportedly following the presidential race pretty closely. Hopefully they'll have things settled by Thursday when he stops by to chat.
3-1-1 (0-0-0 Hockey East). LAST WEEK: Off. THIS WEEK: vs. Boston University, at Maine.
9. Northern Michigan 3 I wanna ride the Zaniboni. Goaltenders Bill Zaniboni and Tuomas Tarkki have allowed a total of nine goals in six games.
4-1-1 (3-0-1 CCHA). LAST WEEK: T at Notre Dame, 1-1 ot; W at Notre Dame, 4-1. THIS WEEK: at Michigan Tech, vs. Michigan Tech.
10. Denver 1 Goaltending's been less stellar at Denver, where the team save percentage is .867.
4-3-0 (3-1-0 WCHA). LAST WEEK: L at Wisconsin, 6-3; W at Wisconsin, 5-3. THIS WEEK: Off.
11. Dartmouth 4 The Big Green used their mulligan on the first tee, losing 2-1 to Quinnipiac despite outshooting their opponents 43-11.
1-1-0 (0-0-0 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: L vs. Quinnipiac, 2-1, W vs. Connecticut, 4-1. THIS WEEK: vs. Yale, vs. Princeton.
12. St. Lawrence NR The Saints didn't just survive what might have been the nation's toughest October schedule; they came out as a legitimate contender in the ECACHL.
4-3-1 (0-0-0 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: W vs. Miami, 6-4; W vs. Miami, 4-3. THIS WEEK: at Union, at Rensselaer.
13. Maine 3 In their last seven games, the Black Bears have won whenever they've scored more than one goal. But they've been held to zero or one three times.
5-4-0 (1-1-0 Hockey East). LAST WEEK: W at Merrimack, 3-0; L at Boston University, 2-1. THIS WEEK: vs. Boston College, vs. New Hampshire.
14. Cornell 3 7-1: Bad news if you're on a jury, or an Atlantic Hockey team visiting Lynah.
2-0-0 (0-0-0 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: W vs. Army, 7-1; W vs. Sacred Heart, 7-1. THIS WEEK: vs. Harvard, vs. Brown.
15. Colgate 1 Hey, Dartmouth, while you're combing the rough for your ball, you wanna keep an eye out for Colgate's?
5-2-0 (0-0-0 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: W vs. Sacred Heart, 5-1; L vs. Army, 3-2. THIS WEEK: vs. Brown, vs. Harvard.
16. Nebraska-Omaha 2 With nine points in six games, Bill Thomas is tied for second in the nation in rookie scoring.
5-1-0 (3-1-0 CCHA). LAST WEEK: L at Michigan State, 5-2; W at Michigan State, 5-2. THIS WEEK: at Alaska-Fairbanks, at Alaska-Fairbanks.
17. Ohio State 2 The Buckeyes have only played one home game thus far, but they're in Columbus for four straight.
5-3-0 (5-1-0 CCHA). LAST WEEK: L at Western Michigan, 6-3; W at Western Michigan, 5-2. THIS WEEK: vs. Sacred Heart, vs. Sacred Heart.
18. Harvard 2 The fish fly early this season: it's the first time since 1997-98 that Cornell has opened its ECACHL schedule with Harvard at Lynah.
0-0-1 (0-0-1 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: T at Brown, 2-2 ot. THIS WEEK: at Cornell, at Colgate.
19. UMass Lowell NR Ben Walter's four goals at Rensselaer Friday is the best road effort by someone from Lowell since Jack Kerouac.
3-2-0 (0-2-0 Hockey East). LAST WEEK: W at Rensselaer, 5-3; W at Union, 3-2. THIS WEEK: Off.
20. Rensselaer RPI is the No. 5 scoring team in the nation (4.29 goals per game). It's almost like when Adam Oates was on campus, which he will be this weekend to be inducted in the school's athletic hall of fame.
4-2-1 (0-0-0 ECACHL). LAST WEEK: L vs. UMass Lowell, 5-3; W vs. Mercyhurst, 5-0. THIS WEEK: vs. Clarkson, vs. St. Lawrence.
