INCH Freshman All-America Teams

Inside College Hockey is proud to announce its fifth annual INCH All-America teams. The selections were made by Inside College Hockey editors and staff, with input from media and coaches from around the country.

The INCH All-America teams are not affiliated with those of the American Hockey Coaches Association, which will release its East and West All-Americans next week.

We prefer to see college hockey as a national game — thus our first-, second-, and third-team All-Americans are not divided on regional lines.

INSIDE COLLEGE HOCKEY
2006-07 ALL-AMERICA FIRST TEAM

David Brown
Notre Dame
Senior
Goaltender

Statistics: 30-6-3, 1.58 GAA, .931 sv. pct., 6 SO

Ranks first nationally in goals-against average (1.58) and wins (30), and third in save percentage (.931). Calm, cool and collected.

Drew Bagnall
St. Lawrence
Senior
Defenseman

Statistics: 39 GP, 6-19—25, 5 PPG, 3 GWG

His visible assets are easy to recognize — size, mobility, physical aggressiveness, and a heavy shot. The non-visible assets make him one of the best captains and leaders in the league.

Jack Johnson
Michigan
Sophomore
Defenseman

Statistics: 36 GP, 16-23—39, 87 PIM

Led NCAA defensemen in goals (16) and ranked tied for second in points (39) behind only Quinnipiac's Reid Cashman. A supreme blend of physicality and skill, opposing players must mark his movements at both ends of the ice.

Ryan Duncan
North Dakota
Sophomore
Forward

Statistics: 42 GP, 31-26—57, 17 PPG, 6 GWG

His two linemates, when healthy, have been brilliant for stretches, but Duncan has done it all season, scoring dozens of goals with an ability to shoot with accuracy from below the circles and find gaps that goalies don't know exist.

Eric Ehn
Air Force
Junior
Forward

Statistics: 40 GP, 24-40—64, 8 PPG

The nation's second-leading scorer, Ehn is the first player from either Atlantic Hockey or College Hockey America to be honored as one of the three Hobey Hat Trick finalists.

T,J. Hensick
Michigan
Senior
Forward

Statistics: 41 GP, 23-46—69, 6 PPG

Ended his career with 229 points, and could be the last collegian we see cracking the 200-career point plateau. Led the nation in both assists and points, and made a star of linemate Kevin Porter.
